Cute Rabbits Introduction

Owning a pet rabbit can be as fulfilling and enjoyable as keeping a cat or a dog. Rabbits, however, have the added advantage of needing less space than most normal pets. (i)          Netherland Dwarf—adapted to the temperate climate, they are mostly indoor rabbits with their short ears and small body.

(ii)        Polish Dwarf—another indoor rabbit. Keepers need to polish the fur once in a while (hence the name). They are, however, renowned for their aggressiveness and make not be a nice pet for beginners or where children are involved.

(iii)       Dutch—a very popular pet because of its mild and calm character; also an indoor rabbit.

(iv)     Angora—has soft and shiny long hair. They need to be groomed often to keep out parasites. They make nice pets if properly cared for.

(v)      Himalayan—medium-sized rabbit with red eyes; has a affable nature that is most suited for inexperienced pet owners.

(vi)     Lop—this breed has long hanging ears and is one of the larger rabbits (approximately 1.4 kg at adult age). It is considered a good family pet because of its pleasant and sociable nature. It is however an outdoor pet.
